About us
Maynard House Orchards is in the heart of Suffolk, where the soil is just right for growing small, tasty fruit. The first family farm was established in 1934 and we have been producing fine apple juices since 1992. Clive Williamson now runs the business and pressing operation in the new purpose built facility on the farm.
We press and bottle ten different varieties of apple juice on our farm. Our best-selling apple juice varieties are:
- Cox & Bramley: medium dry, quintessentially British
- Discovery: light and refreshingly crisp
- Russet: sweet and slightly nutty, just like the apples
All our varieties are sold in 1 litre bottles; Cox & Bramley is also sold in 750ml and 240ml bottles.
Memberships
We are members of SALSA, a non-profit-making joint venture between the four main trade associations representing the UK Food Chain - from farm to fork. These are:
- The National Farmers Union (NFU): Representing farmers diversifying into on-farm production
- The Food and Drink Federation (FDF): Representing food and ingredient manufacturers and suppliers
- The British Hospitality Association (BHA): Representing the UK's foodservice and catering industry
- The British Retail Consortium (BRC): Representing retailers responsible for the majority of UK food sales
